Jeyran Ansar

Ceyran Dursun qızı Ənsər

Jeyran Dursun kizi Ansar was born on January 25, 1956, in Lambali village (today Bagratashen settlement) of Noyamberyan region of the Western Azerbaijan (today Armenia).

She graduated from secondary school No 2 in Bagratashen settlement and entered the Pedagogical School named after M.A. Sabir in 1972/73.

In 1975/1976 she graduated from the Pedagogical School and started working at School No 2 in Bagratashen settlement.

Due to the known events happened since November 25, 1988, she was forcibly expelled on gunpoint from the native lands by the region leaders and deported to the Azerbaijan Republic.

From 1989 till 2016 she worked at “GASID” ltd. as the head of department.

She joined the National Freedom Movement from 1989. She actively took part in founding of the National Independence Party of Azerbaijan, the first political party in the country. She was a candidate to the Milli Majlis (Azerbaijani parliament) once in proportional, once in majoritarian electoral system, and three times she was a candidate in the Municipality elections.

At present she’s the councilor of NIPA Chairman and a member of the NIPA Political Council.
