Yahya Mahammadali oghlu Hasanov was born on June 15, 1962 in Kichik Mazra village of Basarkechar region.
He served his military service in the Armed Forces in 1980-1982.
At 1986 graduated from the faculty of radio-engineering of the Azerbaijan Polytechnic University.
Started working as a locksmith at Specialized Mechanization Department No203 of Baku Main Construction Department, he went the way from the chief of the trade union to the warehouse manager.
He joined the National Freedom Movement of Azerbaijan in 1988. He became a member of NIPA which is the first established party in Azerbaijan, played a great role in the development of NIPA Binagadi District Branch, as well as in the creation of the first party cell. He was the chairman of the party cell, a member to the Regional Council, a member to the Board of Directors, as well as chaired the Regional Branch for 9 years. At present he successfully proceeds with his political activity as a member to the NIPA Political Council.
