1. Maarif Asad oghlu Abbasov, chairman
Maarif Asad oghlu Abbasov was born on May 5, 1964 in Salyan city of Azerbaijan.
In 1982-1984 he served in the Armed Forces.
In 1985-1991 he studied at the Azerbaijan Polytechnic University.
From 1984 to 2000 he worked at the Baku Electric Machine Building Plant. He worked at the different companies from 2000 till 2010. Since 2016 he has been working as an engineer at Special Purpose Road Operations No 14 LLC of the State Agency for Highways of Azerbaijan.
Since his early youth he joined leading political activity. Maarif Abbasov was one of the youth who protested in writing to the words “Karabakh belongs to Armenia not to Azerbaijan” uttered by Aganbekyan, the counsellor of Mikhail Gorbachev, the leader of the former USSR, said at the France Armenian University in Paris, in 1987. Since 1991, from the early establishment years of the National Independence Party of Azerbaijan up to date Maarif Abbasov has always been elected a representative at the all Congresses of the party. At present he actively goes ahead of his political activity at NIPA.
He’s married, has two children.
